My late cousin married a beautiful woman from Mexico , DF, while becoming a doctor in the UNAM. Always devoted to Our Lady and we, as children learned the story she told us.
As an adult, I have taught Spanish in Catholic Schools in Staten Island, NY and taught them the history of the apparition to Juan Diego, in Spanish and English.
My youngest daughter adores the āVirgen de Guadalupeā as we all did and still do , back home in Puerto Rico when we met my cousinās wife Lucina. I always pray to Her and now keep telling the story of Diego , now a Saint, the little Indian to whom Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to. Even my Spanish College students were thrilled to listen to the story in Spanish.
